Avantus encourages public input throughout the Project’s permitting process and has provided several opportunities for public involvement including an in-person and virtual open house meeting.


City Council Meeting
(May 7, 2024)

311SV 8me LLC is requesting that the City of Buckeye approve a Community Master Plan (CMP) to allow development of the Project. The Buckeye City Council will consider the Project’s CMP on May 7, 2024. Interested parties may appear at the hearing and provide comments to the City Council. Planning and Zoning Commission
(March 26, 2024)

311SV 8me LLC is requesting that the City of Buckeye approve a Community Master Plan (CMP) to allow development of the Project (Case No. PLZZ-23-00009). The Buckeye Planning and Zoning Commission considered the Project’s CMP on March 26, 2024. Interested parties were invited to attend the hearing and provide comments to the Planning and Zoning Commission. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the Project’s CMP. A City Council hearing is scheduled for the Project’s CMP. More information on the City Council hearing is provided above.

Neighborhood Meeting
(January 29, 2024)

Avantus filed an application with the City of Buckeye for a Community Master Plan (CMP) to allow for development of the Catclaw Solar Project (project). Prior to the City of Buckeye Planning and Zoning Commission public hearing for the project’s CMP, we hosed a neighborhood meeting to provide interested parties with the opportunity to learn about the project, ask questions, and submit comments. The neighborhood meeting was held at:

Project Open House (March 29, 2023)

Avantus hosted an in-person open house meeting for the project on March 29, 2023, leading up to submittal of the project’s application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility. The purpose of the meeting was to provide the community with the opportunity to learn more about, and provide input on, the proposed project. The March 29, 2023, open house focused on the Project’s generation-tie transmission line. Members of the project team, including representatives from Avantus and SWCA Environmental Consultants, were present to provide information and answer questions.

Virtual Open House

Avantus hosted a virtual open house to provide information about the project’s generation-tie transmission line, Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC), and opportunities for public comment. The formal comment period for the CEC was from March 13, 2023, to April 15, 2023.
